Delivery Policy

We endeavour to ship your order between 24 to 48 working hours after receipt of your order. Should it be any delay, we will notify by email.

You can also send us a note with a future date for dispatch.

We currently offer FREE shipping on orders over £ 79.00 to all of the  UK and only £ 6.99 flat rate for other orders to a maximum of 20kg per order.

Extra charges will occur for orders over 20kg depending on the Post code.

Our flat rate applies to England, Wales, Scotland Highlands, Northern Ireland and all of the Channel and other Islands !!!! 

Extra charges may  incur when the order is over 20Kg. 


Delivery is by tracked Royal Mail or any other methods.  Deliveries to the Islands, Highlands Northern Ireland and some postcodes in Scotland will take longer.

In the rare event, your parcel has not arrived within a week of you placing an order please contact us immediately by email quoting your order/invoice number.  

Please notice that orders containing baked goods and/or refrigerated goods will not be ship on Fridays.

Delivery is only from Tuesday to Friday and Saturday mornings by Royal Mail but please do not leave it for last minute as Royal Mail does not guarantee 100%.


Should you have an important event do not rely  for delivery on the day, instead  we urge you to please place your order to arrive two days prior the event to avoid any delay.

Please note that Royal Mail is a separate entity from us so we have no power or decision making on the deliveries. Your deivery by Royal mail is not guaranteed. Should you wish to have a guaranteed delivery, you must then contact us for a quotation. So far Royal mail works on a 98% delivery rate. Should you be one of those customers who will get in rage due to a delay on your delivery, we suggest you select another supplier for your goods. 

Parcels with refirgerated and or perishable goods are well packed and cooled with ice gels to withstand to 48+ hours in transit.  

The parcel will be left with neighbours or safe location of your choice if not answer at the time of delivery.

Deliveries take place between 8 am and 6 pm during week days and up to noon on Saturdays. During the Christmas season, Royal mail is delivering on Sundays inside the M25.

Please note that on some occasions, deliveries may be outside these times due to unforeseen circumstances and always during the Christmas season. 

For any delivery extra charges we will request this by PayPal payment request otherwise you can pay to direct into our bank: German Bakery UK: 88806669, sort code: 602412 and send us an email with details of payment so we can proceed with your order. 

Please note that delivery is the responsibility of  Royal Mail.

The delivery date and time is an estimate only. We shall not be liable for any loss, cost, damages or any other charges caused directly or indirectly by any delays in the delivery of the goods. Goods are well packed to withstand transit to a 48+ hours. So far the delivery rate is 98 % except on Christmas time when the volume is at the highest and delays are very and most likely. Please bear this in mind when placing your order. 

Please place your Christmas order with enough time and consideration. We really appreciate it. 

We kindly ask you to please do not refuse your parcel.

Should you refuse to accept the parcel for whatever reason without our written permission you will be liable for the shipping costs and the full order value plus  £20.00 charge  Please read our Terms and Conditions for further details. 

For delivery outside the UK, please send us an email with your order, country, postcode and mobile number, we will then send you a shipping quotation.

We have delivered as far as India and Hawaii and all the perishable are well packed in insulated boxes to keep the temperature with a transit time of 4-5 days.


Your duties as a customer:

To co-operate with us by giving us any information reasonably required for the delivery of the goods e.g: directions, difficult access, front door color, barking dog,  difficult neighbours, safe location to leave the parcel or signed for only.  and anything you can think of to make the driver's life easier for all involved.

You have the right to a complaint in the rare event that something is wrong,  and we will entertain your complaint and act adequately as long as it done with courtesy and humanly.  We will no tolerate abusive behaviour over the phone or in the shop, 

Complaints are only in writing with evidence attached. 

Please raise any issue as soon as the parcel is received and in a polite manner. Your parcel and contents are handle by humans and in rare ocassions, there is human error. We do apologize for any inconvenience and we will rectify it ASAP. Most of our staff are NON-GERMANS. We will no tolerate racist remarks or bullying behaviour.

We are in the UK where the official language is English and that is the main language we use in our business.  We can accomodate other European languages including German.

Please note that during the Christmas Season we do NOT guarantee 24 hours delivery and due to the high volume of deliveries and weather conditions where it may be severe delays or even lost parcels. Please place your order well in advance so we can act as quick as possible to remedy the situation.  As the weather reaches freezing levels during this season and we use lots of ice gels as a precautionary measure so the refrigerated goods should  not be affected by a delay. 




Transactions are carried out via PayPal’s secure system and you do not need to be a PayPal member or to have a PayPal's account to use the checkout.

You can choose to “Pay by Card” to pay via PayPal guess check-out without signing up at the check-out page.

All cards are accepted except Amex (American Express) and Maestro.
